We often get asked what factors do we consider when pricing a fence installation. Here are a few thigs we need to establish to get to a final price.
Materials: The type of material used for the fence greatly impacts the cost. Common options include wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain-link, and composite. Wood tends to be more affordable than vinyl or aluminum, while composite is typically the most expensive option.
Accessibility: Accessibility to the property and ease of installation can affect pricing. If the location is difficult to access or requires special equipment, such as steep terrain or obstacles, it may increase labor costs.
Removal of Old Fencing: If there's existing fencing that needs to be removed before installing the new fence, this will add to the overall cost. The complexity of the removal, such as the type of material and the condition of the old fence, will also impact the price.
Gate Requirements: Adding gates to the fence, especially larger or more elaborate gates, will increase the cost. Factors such as the size, style, and material of the gate, as well as any additional hardware or automation, will affect pricing.
Fence Height: The height of the fence will influence the overall cost. Taller fences require more materials and labor for installation, so they tend to be more expensive than shorter fences.
Fence Post Size: The size and type of fence posts used can affect pricing. Larger posts, such as 6x6 instead of 4x4, may be necessary for taller or heavier fences and will incur additional material costs.
Ease of digging: Often times, the dig can be extremely difficult for our team. It is important to note that the price can vary greatly depending on the ease of digging. We also need to take into account whether we need to remove old concrete. Communicating this to the customer is part of our service and we work with you to find a fair price.
Additional Features: Optional features such as decorative elements, lattice tops, or custom designs will increase the cost of the fence.
Please note - It's always recommended to obtain quotes from multiple contractors to compare prices and ensure you're getting the best value for your investment.
